The Province of Colon is located on the Caribbean at the entrance of the Panama Canal, 55 minutes road trip from the Pacific, it is the main Port for the traffic of almost all import and export merchandise of the country. In order of importance, Colon is the second city of the Republic, but for its commerce, it could proundly be called the capital of the hemisphere.

Currently, the city has two new ports of cruises, these are: Colon 2000 and the Dock 6 of the Port of Cristobal.
In this City the Colon Free Zone is found, it is the most important duty-free zone of the western world and the second largest importing and redistribution center of the world. Products of any type, Including commodity and machinery can be imported, stored, modified, distributed, processed, assembled, repackaged and re-exported later without being subject to customs taxes.
Grande Island is found in the Province of Colon, with a rich nature, flora and marine life, as well as the beautiful coral reefs and with a vast variety of fish ideal for the diving lovers.
Grande Island is located in the continental side of the island, which lies down at some hundreds of meters from the coast. On the other side, more peaceful, it is the elegant Bananas Hotel, ideal for a Caribbean crossing.
